Thanks for stopping by!

I write Regency romance and, in my spare time wrangle a golden-eyed terrier and a five six pound chihuahua. (She gained a pound!) They guarantee I step away from my desk for dinner and walks.

NEWS…

On the personal front, I’m in my new home and still wading through boxes to find things I know I have, like double A batteries and a stapler.

Meanwhile a tragedy of sorts has struck. The beloved golden-eyed terrier I’ve mentioned in my bio for years has joined my husband in the life hereafter. This sweet girl suffered a stroke in the middle of the night and there was nothing the vet could do to fix things. She was thirteen years and ten months old, and I’m grateful for the twelve years or so she lived as a member of our family. Here she is at Easter this year:

A New Series Begins

Forevers in Fenwick

Do you remember this collection of stories from the Bluestocking Belles a few years ago?

The setting was the fictional town of Fenwick on Sea in Suffolk. The heart of the town was an old Tudor-era inn; when the town was isolated by a fierce spring storm, romance happened!

The Bluestocking Belles are bringing romance in Fenwick on Sea back to life with a multi-author novella series called Forevers in Fenwick.

And the first book in the series is now available for purchase!

Ah, Fenwick On Sea! A humble village, somewhat forgotten by time. But not for long if the innkeeper has his way! Rumor of a fae blessing upon his inn is exactly what he needs to draw crowds back to the neglected village. Of course, it’s only talk. Or is it?

When an earl takes up residence on a nearby estate, Barnaby Ash thinks his task to catalogue the gentleman’s library will be a simple one. However, among the many volumes, he is intrigued to find an ancient, illustrated folio. He certainly does not expect its effect on him to be quite so alarming. Barnaby is far too sensible to believe in magic, but there is no denying that he is changing. And when he realizes someone has actually tampered with the manuscript, he is determined to unearth all its secrets.

Joy Tully, the church warden’s adventurous, outspoken, and—sigh, still-unmarried—daughter, volunteers to help Barnaby solve the mysteries surrounding the strange book. His earnest approach to everything soon wins her over. And Joy is exactly the sort of free spirit to stir Barnaby’s quiet heart.

Just in time, too. For their growing feelings are at the heart of bringing Fenwick’s Blessing of Forevers to life.

Merry Belles, a Bluestocking Belles Collection with Friends

Just in time for the holidays, seven charming stories of romance from award-winning and best-selling authors:

  • A murder brings a lady and her lost love together, just close enough to heal old wounds.
  • A young lady must foil a friend’s betrayal to have her Yuletide wish for love come true.
  • A widowed lord’s new housekeeper tames his rowdy boys and pierces his lonely heart.
  • A lady determined to find her wayward young son finds herself stranded with the persistent earl trying to woo her out of widowhood.
  • Will restoring a family manor together help two people acknowledge a secret attraction and claim a future together?
  • A soldier’s wife is determined to find her missing husband, even if she must walk the length and breadth of England with her children in a wheelbarrow.
  • Home from the wars, a soldier is shocked to learn that his fiancée plans to wed someone else. Can he reach her in time to prevent the nuptials?

My contribution to the collection is Lady Loughton’s Last Wager. If you’ve read A Wallflower’s Midsummer Night’s Caper, you’ll remember Lady Loughton as the elegant but somewhat harried mother of that story’s heroine. As you can imagine, this is an “older” romance: the widowed Lady Loughton gets a second chance at love with the determined earl who’s been pursing her.
